Concert
Après le tremblement...
CROSS-RESIDENCY • musical residencies and creations Quebec/Europe
Past event
As part of Résonance croisée - residencies and musical creations Québec/Europe. Inspired by the eponymous piece Après le tremblement de terre (After the earthquake) by composer Bruno Letort, the concert presents a daring programme, centred on the music of today and tomorrow.
The title is as much a reference to the events that have shaken the world in recent months as it is to the tremors that are experienced in creative music. Through its diversified program, this concert leads us to reflect on today's music, its place in society and the way it can or must influence our world. The program includes a selection of works for percussion, saxophones and electronics, including repertoire from the last decade, such as works by Bruno Letort and Laurent Durupt, and creations by Núria Giménez-Comas and Félix-Antoine Coutu, special commissions from the duo. The musicians have thus given great importance to experimentation by integrating the use of the Karlax MIDI interface, video elements and soundtracks.
A musical event not to be missed!
