Le Vivier is open to new members. The following 3 types of membership are offered:


  • New Corporate Members

    A corporate member is defined as a professional organization working in the field of new music, and applications are first submitted to the Vivier's general and artistic directors, who ensure their relevance.

    Required documents :

    • History of the organization;
    • Programming presented over three seasons;
    • Annual budget;
    • Names of Board members;
    • Completed "corporate member" registration form.

    Le Vivier can receive applications at any time. Approval is made on a co-opting basis: applications are submitted to the Artistic Coordination Committee, which makes recommendations to the Artistic Committee (which meets twice a year), which votes on a proposal to be submitted to the Board.

    It is the Board of Directors that validates the final proposal, according to these criteria:

    • Evaluation of professionalism: minimum of three (3) years of practice in a professional context where musicians are paid and where there is more than one artistic activity. The organization must demonstrate a stable financial and administrative situation;
    • Evaluation of artistic content: artistic practice with a priority focus on new music.

  • New corporate members "succession"

    A corporate member "succession" is defined as a professional organization working in the field of new music. It may have one (1) representative who participates in the activities of the corporation and attends meetings of members without the right to vote but with the right to speak. Nominations are first submitted to the Vivier's General and Artistic Directors, who ensure their relevance.

    Required documents :

    • History of the organization-Programming presented over one season,
    • Annual budget,
    • Names of Board members,
    • Registration form "corporate member relief" completed.

  • New individual members

    Individual members work in the world of creative music as professionals and fall into one of the following categories: composers; conductors; performers; instrument makers; researchers; educators; other professionals working in the field of music, such as managers, producers or promoters. Individual members may participate in the activities of the Corporation and may attend meetings of members without the right to vote but with the right to speak. They may also be elected to the Board of Directors. Nominations are first submitted to the Vivier's general management and artistic direction to ensure their relevance.

    Required documents :

    • Individual's CV or biographical notes,
    • List of his repertoire or clients,
    • Enrolment form "individual member" completed.
