SuperTotem 2 emerges from the encounter between the giant wind machines and invented instruments of Jean-François Laporte and three leading figures of Ensemble SuperMusique, renowned for their mastery of improvisation and sound creation.
Following a striking first edition in the fall of 2019, SuperMusique and Productions Totem Contemporain once again join forces to extend this singular experience. Conceived as an immersive concert, SuperTotem 2 brings together works specially commissioned from composers Bernard Falaise, Audréanne Filion, Jean-François Laporte, and Joane Hétu. Presented in a spatialized setup, the performance invites the audience to move freely around the performers, fostering direct proximity to the sound sources and musical gestures.
