As part of La Semaine du Neuf

The Belgian Ensemble Hopper invites the audience on an ecstatic journey through the overwhelming, powerful, somewhat psychedelic waves of sounds that blossom infinitely, and the textures that rise obsessively in the works of James O'Callaghan and Pierre Slinckx.

"In definition of ground" by James O'Callaghan, for quartet and electronics, plays with rhythmic disruptions bathed in a buzz noise - the "ground" notably transcribed on the guitar - and leaves ample room for improvisation framed by a rigorous composition.

"H#1|2|3|4" by Pierre Slinckx is a cycle in four parts with colossal dimensions, extremely rich and abundant orchestration that continues to rise in a renewed climax with each measure.
