→ On site and on subscription: Bibliothèque du Vieux-Saint-Laurent Come and explore the interpretation of graphic scores in this workshop inspired by Symon Henry's work for electroacoustic and orchestra Tiroirs bonbons pastels. You will be invited to join real orchestral musicians to experience the creation of a visual musical work from the point of view of performance. Through this workshop, you will learn to develop playing techniques and have the opportunity to play an excerpt of the work in a group performance. No previous musical experience is required to participate in this workshop. Whether you are a musician or not, you are welcome! → On site (ticket holders only) : Espace orange - Édifice Wilder A pre-concert discussion that will shed light on the process of creating a work for orchestra and allow for an exchange with composers Alexandre David, Francis Battah and Laurence Jobidon about the compositional intention that led to the creation of their piece for the Orchestre de l'Agora. Nicolas Ellis (conductor) will lead the discussion, which will address the challenges and benefits of collaborating with artists who write specifically for an ensemble. He will also discuss the rehearsal process, exchanges with the performers and the development of a concert programme that highlights contemporary creation. |
