Ji Eun Moon - Fairy Tale in Music

Ji Eun Moon Conte de fée en musique

Fairy Tale in Music offers a playful encounter between music, storytelling, and theatre.

Conceived by Ji Eun Moon, this concert draws inspiration from the Quebec folk tale The Miser’s Ghost, written by Honoré Beaugrand. The story is reimagined musically through a suite of around ten movements, bringing together pop, contemporary classical music, rock, jazz, improvisation, and avant-garde sounds.

Performed by singers, instrumentalists, and a narrator or voice actor, the story comes to life through a rich palette of theatrical expression: dialogue, whispers, sobs, singing, and cries. Electric guitars blend with acoustic instruments to create distinctive sound worlds, while each movement reveals the emotions and personalities of the characters.
