The Voces Boreales choir presents the masterpiece of the Russian choral repertoire - Rachmaninov's magnificent Vespers - punctuated by a world premiere triptych created especially for the ensemble by the Russian-Canadian composer Evgeny Shcherbakov. A fervent concert that offers an almost mystical experience, combining the Russian soul in the past and present.

Under the expert direction of Andrew Gray, Voces Boreales, in its largest incarnation (40 voices), offers an evening of exalted and richly textured music, bringing out the passion and expressiveness of Russia. Through Sergei Rachmaninoff's choral monument and a three-part creation by composer Evgeny Shcherbakov, the ensemble offers an experience that leaves the audience transformed.
