DUO DOBLINGER & NEYRINCK (AT) | 12 APRIL

RÉSONANCE CROISÉE • musical residencies and creations Quebec/Europe

How can we explain that hours last an instant and seconds an eternity? What would time be without a clock? What if we took back control of our lives? For one hour, a bass clarinettist and a pianist engage in a moving musical dialogue about time and its hold on our existence.

The Austrian duo Teresa Doblinger (bass clarinet and choreography) and Frederik Neyrinck (piano and composition) perform UHR.werk, a work by Frederik Neyrinck about the subjectivity of time. Since their meeting in Germany seven years ago, the two artists have conceived numerous projects together, combining contemporary music, improvisation, performance and a critical view of our world. Both classically trained, they have made the exploration of sound and the integration of the classical repertoire in a contemporary setting the pillars of their musical creation.
