In the second half of the evening, Foubarasse explores the musical potential of an object that, at first sight, is not intended for the purpose.

After several tests and research in his garage, Sébastien Maltais designed a series of fujaras: flutes that use natural harmonics and are made (using a lot of elbow grease) with PVC tubing.

Under the direction of Sébastien Maltais, the ensemble of six musicians will play a minimalist and airy work serving as the metaphor for a voyage. It is a story that highlights the various adventures experienced by a shepherd and his herd as they changes pastures. The musical pieces recount the voyage in a delicate way. This project highlights the physical simplicity of fujaras and the lightness of sound produced by the instrument. Other instruments are then added such as drums and bass. An amazing journey!
