Quasar

An exceptional meeting between the sax quartets Quasar (Quebec) and Arte (Switzerland).

Quasar has found a kindred soul in the Arte Quartet, its alter ego! Both ensembles share the same vision, sensibility, enthusiasm, and virtuosity, and they have both been devoted to creative music for the past 15 years and share a passion for the music of today.

After a lauded concert in Montréal in 2005, followed by performances in Basel, Lausanne, Lucerne and Zurich, the saxophone octet is back in Quebec. Discover them in quartets and octets written especially for them, including the North-American premiere of Wolf Edwards’ octet.
