Guillo Espel
Composer, guitarist, and producer. He premiered his works at the Teatro Colón, official and private circuits of his country and over thirty countries of America, Europe, Asia and Oceania. His music and/or versions have been performed by many orchestras, soloists, ensembles and organizations in the world, like Riga Symphony Orchestra, Santa Barbara Symphony (USA), Prague Philharmonic Orchestra (soloist Anna Netrebko); Orquesta Sinfónica de Oslo (Virginia Tola); Holland Symfonia Orchestra (Susanna Moncayo Haase), Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia (Ainhoa Arteta), Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Ecuador, Orquesta Estable Teatro Colón, Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional Argentina, Alejo Perez Poullieux, Anna Netrebko, Nancy Zeltsman, Ensamble Contemporáneo Las Palmas, Darío Volonté, José Cura, Israel Moreno, Manolo Juárez, David Lebón, Antonio Agri, Abel Pintos, Teresa Parodi, Pedro Aznar, Lito Vitale, Fernanda Morello, Pedro I. Calderon, etc. Espel won more than 25 national and international, official and/or private awards. He has participated in approximately sixty phonograms as composer, performer, arranger, artistic director and/or producer. He develops part of his work as a performer with his group, "Guillo Espel Quartet". He teaches composition and orchestration at the Official Conservatory of Music "Manuel De Falla" (Buenos Aires City) since 2005. Often he is summoned as a juror in composition contests in America and Europe. His career has been included in the Latin American Dictionary of Music.
