Des animaux et des hommes is inspired by visual artist Christian Michaud’s exhibition of the same name. His collection of small sculptures, often clay human heads placed within various contexts, invites critical reflection on the restrictive nature of social conventions and the destructive habits of human behavior, contrasted with the freedom of other living beings. The realism and surrealism of his work force the viewers to confront these themes directly, while marveling at the artist’s whimsical and thought-provoking imagination.
