Œuvres musicales

Back in March I spent a week on the outskirts of St. George New Brunswick writing the initial seeds for this piece. On the day I arrived the river was completely frozen and the day I departed it was entirely melted. Over the course of my time there I heard it slowly cracking to creaking and breaking apart amidst the occasional crow call. The Sowing Spring Vignettes are inspired by this spring thaw and part of a larger collection that follows each season in a different Atlantic province.
