This is a unique opportunity to discover 10 passionate percussionists in repertoire that emphasizes creative sonorities and pure rhythmic pleasure.

Two ensembles = ten percussionists = two hundred sticks.

Passion Percussion brings together two professional Montreal groups in a unique program that allows you to discover all facets of their almost unlimited worlds of sound: continual glissandos and aquatic sounds distorted by electronic treatments, biting cymbals, spoken-song musical theatre inspired by Georges Aperghis, and the heady rhythm of marimbas recalling the sounds of Steve Reich. The creative energy that drives these passionate percussionists knows no limits! Seven works are on the program in a concert which combines Quebec and international repertoire.
