In this portrait concert of Austrian experimental composer Klaus Lang, a Montreal premiere, Quatuor Bozzini performs the Canadian premiere of 'the long field' (2023), a microtonal passacaglia. In the second half, Lang performs harmonium with the saxophone quartet Konus Quartett in Drei Allmenden (2020), slowly changing harmonies decided by composer and performers: “The slowly unfolding sounds, in an ideal flow, seem like slow, majestic ripples on a gray day by the sea.”
