Concert

Electric Totem, a concert celebrating mixed-media music, returns for its 19th edition with original compositions for the Table de Babel and electronics.

This concert is part of the Totem Électrique series created in 2009. This series has led to the creation of nearly 100 extraordinary mixed-media musical works composed specifically for the invented instruments of Jean-François Laporte, which are combined with an electronic or electroacoustic component (soundtrack, real-time digital processing, electronics, amplification, etc.).

In the 2nd part: Electroacoustic Totem Competition

Productions Totem Contemporain presents the finalists of its annual electroacoustic competition, which invites composers from all backgrounds to explore the sound universe of instruments invented by Jean-François Laporte. These instruments, often created from unusual objects, offer a palette of unprecedented timbres and textures, opening up new perspectives for musical expression. The Totem Electroacoustic Competition aims to promote PTC's acoustic lutherie, encourage the creation of original electroacoustic works, and promote their dissemination to a wide audience. This concert will also include, following the jury's deliberation on site, the awarding of the competition prizes: the three Totem prizes, the Akousma prize, the Vivier Inter-University prize, and the Audience prize.
