Diego Tosi / Double jeu

"Double Jeu" is a performance produced by Ensemble Flashback - Contemporary Music & New Technologies. It consists of 4 works: Double Jeu by Alexander Vert and José-Miguel Fernandez, Calm like a bomb, Ashes in the fall by Jesper Nordin, and Double Violin by Michèle Tosi (commissioned by Ensemble Flashback). It features violinist Diego Tosi (soloist of the Ensemble Intercontemporain) on a journey through works in which the performer plays with his virtual double, represented both visually (hologram) and aurally (real-time software Antescofo and an octophonic sound system).

As a medium for a voice, a body, and a soul, a source of both pleasure and pain, the violin is an integral part of the artist - it is their alter ego. Like Narcissus who once encountered his reflection, the performance stages their fusion. This duplicated virtuosity promises an unprecedented immersive and poetic experience.
