Call for Applications : Museond Prize for Creativity in Mixed Music 2027

Le Vivier is pleased to announce the 2027 edition of the Museond Prize for Creativity in Mixed Music. Initiated by John Fairbrother, founder of the Museond Fund, this annual prize will support the commissioning of a new work for acoustic instruments and electronics, to be presented as part of Le Vivier’s season.
For this edition, the prize recipient will compose a work for the Ensemble Sixtrum Percussion, which will be co-presented with MUTEK and Le Vivier in August 2027. A prize of CA $10,000 for the composition of 11 minutes will be awarded.
Instrumentation
- Electronic components: The work will be presented on a multichannel spatial sound system, and spatialization should be a core part of the composition.
- Percussion sextet and electronics
Eligibility
Open to all Canadian citizens or permanent residents, with no age limit
- Performance date: August 2027, co-presented by MUTEK and Le Vivier
- Score deadline: June 1st, 2027
- Application deadline: November 1st, 2026, 11:59 p.m.
