Treffpunkt
Treffpunkt (meeting point), the eponymous work of the Treffpunkt Saxophone Quartet, was born of a shared desire: to create a collaborative work. At the crossroads of its members' creative practices, it explores what can emerge from the encounter between composition, improvisation, intuitions and imaginaries. Inspired by Mylène Pardoën's archaeology of the soundscape, the work offers a reflection on our relationship to the living world and on the transformation of sonic ecosystems. Through the integration of technologies, field recordings and sound processing, it moves through the themes of isolation, connection, disappearance and listening to the world around us.
