Adam Zolty is a Canadian composer currently based in London, UK. His work explores the relationship between sound and movement, often incorporating film and theatre as integral elements to the composition. Projects include Fast Forward (2022) for violin and fixed media, which examines this interplay through film, and The Manicurist (2024), a one-act opera exploring it through theatre. His music has been performed across Canada, the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom. Adam is a composer fellow of the Gabriela Lena Frank Creative Academy of Music, with commissions including Rise (2023) for oboe virtuoso Kyle Bruckmann. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of British Columbia and is pursuing a Master’s degree at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
