Violinist Bailey Wantuch is a versatile musician who is active in many facets of the Montréal music scene. Driven by her love for contemporary music, she co-founded Collectif Radiance and Quatuor Mémoire, and has played with Ensemble Paramirabo. As a soloist, she recently performed Kaija Saariaho’s violin concerto Graal théâtre with the McGill Contemporary Music Ensemble. In addition to new music, she has played with her piano trio, Trio Miltenberg, in Québec, Newfoundland, and Germany. Wantuch is also an avid pedagogue. She is a course lecturer at McGill University, a member of Suzuki Musique Montréal, and she has taught violin around the world, from Chile to Mexico to Kenya.

Wantuch completed her bachelor’s at Northwestern University with Blair Milton and her master’s at McGill University with Violaine Melançon. She is currently completing her doctorate at McGill where she holds a research grant from the Fonds de recherche du Québec.
