Louis-Benoît Caron's mission is to contribute to the promotion and dissemination of Canadian music, which harbors treasures that deserve to be shared. The recipient of numerous prizes and awards, he was awarded the prestigious Sandra and Alain Bouchard bursary in 2020 by the Conservatoire Foundation, in recognition of the excellence of his academic career and his involvement in the student community. 

An exuberant and passionate musician, clarinettist Louis-Benoît Caron performs regularly in recitals in several cities across Quebec. In June 2023, he joined the Orchestre symphonique de la Côte-Nord (OSCN) as principal clarinet. Passionate about teaching, Louis-Benoît Caron devotes much of his time to passing on his passion for learning the clarinet to numerous students. Involved in the musical community, he holds various positions with Orford Musique, the OSCN and the Coopérative des professeurs de musique de Montréal. He studied at Quebec City and Montreal’s conservatories, as well as at McGill University, where he honed his skills with Stéphane Fontaine, Todd Cope and Jean-François Normand.
