Cédric Delorme-Bouchard
Lighting designer, set designer and stage director Cédric Delorme-Bouchard has created over a hundred designs for theater, dance and opera. His designs have been presented in over 15 countries in North and South America, Europe and Asia. On the Montreal stage, he has collaborated with such renowned directors as Eric Jean, Sylvain Bélanger, Philippe Cyr, Angela Konrad, Florent Siaud, Alice Ronfard, Geoffrey Gaquère, Sébastien David, Alix Dufresne and Marc Béland. His artistic signature has been highlighted by a nomination for Best Lighting Design (Gala des Cochons d'or 2015) and Outstanding Lighting Design (META Awards 2017 and 2019). His lighting design for Candide (TNM, 2018) was also selected to represent Quebec at the Quadriennale internationale de scénographie in Prague (2019) and at EXPO-SCÈNE Montréal (2019).
As director and artistic director of La Chambre Noire, he is responsible for the direction and design of Lamelles (Usine C, 2018 and Théâtre du Trillium, Ottawa, 2019), Dispositif (Tangente, 2019), and Le vaisseau-coeur (Salle Bourgie du MBAM, 2019). Alongside his design practice, Cédric Delorme-Bouchard has been a coach, instructor and lecturer for various educational institutions, including the National Theatre School of Canada, UQAM's School of Visual and Media Arts, UQAM's École supérieure de théâtre, Concordia University, the School of Show Business, and the Arts and Letters program at Cégep de Brébeuf and Cégep de Lanaudière à l'Assomption. He is currently artist-in-residence at Usine C.
