Pianist and accordionist, Fanny Vicens pursues an international career (Switzerland, Germany, Ukraine, Taiwan, South America, USA, Italy, Norway,…) and maintains a busy ensemble activity. As a member of Cairn and Soyuz 21, she has been a guest with around thirty ensembles, including Intercontemporain, Ensemble Modern, 2e2m, and l’Instant Donné.
She has performed piano and accordion concertos under the direction of renowned conductors. Contributing to the promotion of the accordion, she is dedicated to contemporary repertoire and historically informed interpretations of baroque and classical repertoires. She imparts these two aspects at the ESM Bourgogne-Franche Comté. Recordings, such as the solo album "Schrift" released in 2016 by Stradivarius, attest to her enthusiasm.
Her penchant for artistic adventures is evident in interdisciplinary projects, including collaborations with choreographers, the trio 20° dans le noir, or the XAMP duo with Jean-Etienne Sotty (microtonal accordions). A laureate of the Banque Populaire and Menuhin Foundations, she holds degrees from the Musikhochschule in Trossingen (Germany), Lucerne (Switzerland), the University of Paris-Sorbonne, and the CNSMDP.
