Liam Ross Gibson is a composer, keyboardist, and educator currently based in Montreal. His music seeks to draw connections between diverse musical traditions, in particular Western notated music, jazz, rock, and contemporary electronic music. Recent highlights include collaborations with the Tsilumos Ensemble, Continuum Contemporary Music, Quatuor Bozzini, and the Winnipeg Symphony. As part of the interdisciplinary collective THIRTYMINUTES, Gibson has had recent works showcased in galleries in Berlin and London. Gibson is currently pursuing  a doctorate in composition at McGill University, and holds a MMus in composition from the University of Manitoba, a BMus in composition and theory from the University of Victoria, and a diploma in jazz piano from Vancouver Island University. Gibson has taken lessons with Gordon Fitzell, Örjan Sandred, Christopher Butterfield, Dániel Péter Biró, John Celona, Matthew Ricketts, Michael Daugherty, Jared Miller, Neil Weisensel, Owen Underhill, and Harry Stafylakis.
