For the first edition of La Semaine du Neuf, Le Vivier organised professional meetings with international players in the new music sector who came to Montreal for the occasion. This was an opportunity to discuss a number of topics, the future challenges of the sector and to promote this community.

La Semaine du Neuf was held from 7 to 17 March 2023, for its first edition. Ten days of concerts and shows in tribute to Claude Vivier, but not only! 

Indeed, Le Vivier welcomed to Montreal a delegation of European, American and Canadian professionals specialised in new music in order to discuss current issues: inclusion, eco-responsibility, the circulation of works and artists as well as future international collaborations.

The programme included exciting discussions and rich exchanges, high quality concerts and performances, but also a connection with the local community. This visit was an opportunity to introduce our partners in the area, whom we thank for their welcome:

- Visit to the MMR room at CIRMMT

- Visit to the Canadian Music Centre in Quebec

Thanks to the Ministère de la Culture et Communications Québec for its support to the project as well as to the Quebec Government offices abroad (New York, Rome and London) and to the partners.
