something moving something still is a video score in three movements. It makes use of footage and photographs from Millar’s two homes - the neighbourhood where she grew up in Perth, Western Australia and her local Montreal neighbourhood of NDG. Her composition invites musicians to respond to movement and stillness within everyday scenes, bringing attention to daily rhythms and routines of movement, and the spaces around us.
