Bernard Falaise

For almost 25 years now, composer, improviser and guitarist Bernard Falaise has been a stalwart of Québec’s new music scene. In addition to several solo projects, such as the Prix Opus-winner Clic, Bernard has been playing in a multitude of bands including Miriodor, Klaxon Gueule, Subtle Lip Can, Quartetski, FoodSoon, Papa Boa, and Ensemble SuperMusique. He has also worked with a number of musicians, improvisers, singers and songwriters as varied as Tanya Tagaq, Marie-Jo Therio, Jean Derome, Martin Tétreault, André Duchesne, Damián Nisenson, Urbain Desbois, Frank Martel, Jean-François Laporte, D. Kimm, Michel F Côté and Pierre Labbé. Falaise has scored nearly 30 soundtracks for theatre, dance, film and television for directors and choreographers such as Brigitte Haentjens, Hélène Langevin, Wajdi Mouawad, Robert Lepage, Marcelle Hudon and Pierre-Paul Savoie and composed for many chamber music ensembles. He also frequently works as an arranger, mixing engineer, musical director or accompanist; his combined discography features more than 50 albums.
