This concert presents three contemporary creations by the winners of the Prix Mécénat 2022, supported by Musique 3 Femmes.

Through Opéra d'aujourd'hui, Musique 3 Femmes honors the winners of the Prix Mécénat 2022, which rewards emerging female and non-binary composers and librettists.

An opportunity to discover : 

  • Je suis fille de la fille, creation by Analía Llugdar (Montreal/Argentina) and Emné Nasereddine, awarded in the category "A work in French" and inspired by the poetry of Emné Nasereddine ; 
  • Opéra en 3 légendes, created by composer Alejandra Odgers (Montreal/Mexico) and librettist Nicole O'Bomsawin (Odanak, QC) which evokes traditional Abenaki tales. The work was awarded in the category "A work by BIPOC creators" ;
  • Racoon Opera, created by composer Rebecca Gray and librettist Rachel Gray (Ottawa), a black comedy about the housing crisis, was awarded in the category "A work in English”.
