Quasar vous convie à le retrouver dans l’intimité du quatuor magnifié par l’acoustique exceptionnelle de l’église du Gesù.

For this concert in its Montréal series, Quasar invites you to discover the intimate side of the quartet as enhanced by the exceptional acoustics of the Gesù church. On this occasion, Quasar is pleased to renew its participation in the Hommage series of the Societé de musique contemporaine (SMCQ) by producing a concert on the theme of identity.

The program includes a première by award-winning composer Katia Makdissi-Warren and the young Chinese composer, Xue Han. There is also a repeat of Dániel Péter Biró’s piece, Udvarim Achadim, based on four songs: a recitation of the Koran, a trope from the Jewish Torah, a Hungarian lament and a plainchant by St. Gallen. A work by Israeli-Palestinian composer Samir Odeh-Tamimi completes the program.
