Fabrice Villard is a poet, performer and musician. An artist with a virtuoso stammer, he tirelessly puts poetry back into the realm of the spectacular, on the borderline between music and theatre.

He has taken on numerous commissions in the fields of opera, contemporary melody and melodrama, and has designed soundtracks based on his texts, as well as "in situ" sound and poetry events. He has presented his work at festivals such as Printemps des poètes, Lire en fête, Classique au Vert at the Parc Floral de Paris, Musique Action in Vandœuvre Lès Nancy and Les Dimanches de l'Improésie in Montreuil.

His productions have been staged at the Grand Palais in Paris, the Théâtre Koltès in Nanterre, the Théâtre de la Commune in Aubervilliers, La Péniche Opéra in Paris, L'Atelier du Plateau in Paris, La Fonderie in Le Mans, the Musée d'Art Moderne et Contemporain in Strasbourg, the Opéra de Marseille, the Opéra de Reims, etc.

He works regularly with composers Vincent Bouchot, Denis Chouillet, Martin Moulin and Françoise Toullec.

He has published five books with éditions "de la fenêtre", as well as several contributions to contemporary poetry magazines.

As a clarinettist, he is a member of the Dedalus Ensemble, collaborates with the Offrandes Ensemble, and performs regularly on the improvised music scene.
