Duo AIRS is a contemporary chamber music group made up of David Therrien Brongo (percussion) and Louis-Philippe Bonin (saxophone). Duo AIRS's activities and artistic approach set it apart in a niche currently unexploited by current ensembles and soloists in Quebec. Their artistic mandate stems from a desire to present the rich repertoire for percussion and saxophone, while encouraging research and the creation of new works. In their desire to offer a dynamic experience that differs from the traditional recital, their artistic vision proposes a holistic approach to concert music: each performance is built around a specific theme in which the staging, transitions and music are intrinsically linked. Experienced performers, they do not hesitate to include solo works in their concerts, confirming their qualities as chamber musicians and soloists every time. 

They collaborated together for the first time at the Laboratoire de Musique Contemporaine de Montréal (LMCM) in 2013. Within a very short time of this encounter, they added international participation to their many concert opportunities: they were invited to present their concert 'La virtuosité selon Philippe Hurel et Philippe Leroux' at the 17th World Saxophone Congress in Strasbourg, 2015. The following year, they were produced by Code d'Accès to present their concert 'Les Entrailles de La Terre' featuring works by composers from Denmark, Slovenia and Sweden. In May 2018, they presented their show 'Eau douce - Eau Trouble' in co-production with Codes D'Accès, Le Vivier and Festival Accès Asie. The success of this production led to it being chosen as one of the shows to be toured in Maisons de la Culture by the Conseil des Arts de Montréal (CAM en Tournée) in March 2020.

In 2019, supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, Duo AIRS will be performing at the Gesù amphitheatre with their show 'AIRS en Ré'. They have also been invited to take part in the 2019-2020 season of the Chapelle Historique du Bon-Pasteur to present their latest concert, 'AIRS Spectraux', with baritone Vincent Ranallo.
