Mariane is currently completing her master's degree in clarinet performance at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal in the class of Jean-François Normand. Originally from Sherbrooke, she started learning music at Sacré-Coeur elementary school, playing the violin and the piano. In 2010, she discovered the clarinet. She is a scholarship holder and finalist at the Festival Concours de Musique de Sherbrooke, winner of the Cégep en Concert competition and winner of the OSJS concerto competition in 2017. She participates in the Orford Musique octet workshop, the Domaine Forget clarinet workshop and the Berlin Opera Academy in the summer of 2019. She has performed for such masters as Stéphane Fontaine, Dominic Desaultels, Todd Cope, Richie Hawley, Lorenzo Coppola, James Campbell and Yehuda Gilad. In order to humorously express the reality of today's young classical musicians in times of pandemic, Mariane co-founded with fellow Conservatory clarinetists, the instagram account @clarinulles which has over 1000 followers to date.
