Joëlle Läderach is a producer and designer working between Berlin, Switzerland, and France. In 2015, she launched Wang Consulting, a project-based label that functions as a platform for collaborations with various artists and designers. Wang Consulting releases capsule collections on an irregular schedule, creates artistic installations, and develops costumes for art, dance, and music performances. The costumes for Holding Present are the result of a collaboration between Laederach and designer Sabrina Seifried. The brand’s goal is to minimise its contribution to global overproduction and instead use discarded or cast-off materials as a basis for imagining future forms. The platform encourages garments that induce a change in bodily experience, shifting from passive to active participation and engagement, and uses clothing as a performative tool.
