Cordâme
Cordâme is a Montreal-based chamber ensemble founded in 2004. Renowned for its original interpretations of Jean-Félix Mailloux's compositions, the ensemble explores the sounds of strings, bridging the gap between classical and jazz. Cordâme has produced critically acclaimed albums such as Lieux imaginés and Da Vinci Inventions. Winners of numerous awards, including the OPUS Prize and ADISQ finalist, the ensemble has presented over 60 performances of their show Satie Variations across Quebec. They are also very active on the international scene. Led by the prolific double bassist Jean Félix Mailloux, the ensemble offers emotionally charged concerts thanks to their subtle and sensitive music.
