AXELLE TAHIRI
Born in France, Axelle Tahiri grew up in a household where music wasn’t a primary focus. However, her passion for music blossomed early, leading her to pursue a career as a violist. Initially, she engaged in scientific studies, but her love for music ultimately guided her toward a different path.
Axelle enrolled at the Conservatoire National de Musique et de Danse in Lyon, where she earned a master’s degree in performance under the mentorship of Françoise Gneri. Her commitment to her craft led her to further her education with a D.E.P.A in Performance at the University of Montreal. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Performance at the same institution, studying under Jutta Puchhammer-Sédillot’s mentorship. Since 2018, Axelle performed as a section violist with several prestigious orchestras. She collaborated with the Auditorium-Orchestre National de Lyon (France), where she participated in concerts over three seasons, engaging with a diverse repertoire and connecting with passionate audiences. Her role with the Orchestre de Chambre de Lyon, where she served as both a section violist and assistant, further honed her skills and deepened her appreciation for chamber music. Additionally, she performed with the Orchestre Victor Hugo in Besançon (France), and with orchestra ‘’ l’Agora’’ (Montréal).
In 2022, Axelle expanded her musical horizons by becoming a chamber musician for JUNZI ARTS PRODUCTION in Paris, touring with the renowned pop artist WOODKID. This experience allowed her to blend classical influences with contemporary sounds, showcasing her versatility.
As a chamber musician, she also performed with the musicians of Orchestre de Chambre de Lyon, specializing in Romantic repertoire (piano duets, quartets...). Her ability to interpret complex compositions with sensitivity earned her accolades from audiences and peers alike.
As she continues her doctoral studies, she remains dedicated to exploring the depths of musical interpretation and contributing to the contemporary music landscape, a testament to her talent and passion for music.
