Alexandra Templier is a multidisciplinary vocal artist based on the unceded territory of Tio’tia:ke / Mooniyang / Montreal. Seeking a total stage investment, her approach combines the fruits of her Master's research in metaphysics and contemporary poetics (Université de La Sorbonne, Paris) with the intimate exploration of the human voice through singing (flamenco, Western and Indian classical singing, Indian vocal percussions, improvised music) and the moving body (professional training in theater and somatic movement).

Winner of a first prize for emerging flamenco singing at the flamenco festival of the city of Madrid (Suma Flamenca 2013), where she resided for five years, and later a finalist for the Diversity in Music Prize of the city of Montreal (2019), her musical and multidisciplinary projects have been presented in Europe (Spain, France), Africa (Algeria), on tour in Montreal and Quebec (Place des Arts, Réseau Accès Culture, Théâtre Outremont, Salle Bourgie/Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Théâtre Gilles-Vigneault, Carré 150, New Brunswick, the Maritimes, among others).

Supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec, and the Conseil des Arts de Montréal, Alexandra delves into the phenomenon of resonance in relation to our contemporary experience of the sacred. She mobilizes the diversity of her artistic background in multidisciplinary creations that aim to involve the intimacy of the spectators and question our habits of perception in order to re-enchant our relationship with the living.

Alongside her personal projects, she collaborates with numerous contemporary dance companies as a performer, sound designer, or artistic advisor.
