Audréanne Filion

Audréanne Filion, composer and cellist from Montreal, has now obtained her bachelor's degree as well as her artist's diploma in cello performance at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal - and is currently completing a certificate in electroacoustic composition at the same institution. Having a great interest in contemporary music, improvisation and experimental music, the musician co-founded the Tesse Ensemble that brings together six renowned musicians from the Montreal scene with the goal of co-creating original musical works. Loving to combine the different forms of art, the musician has participated in several multidisciplinary creation projects.  As a cellist, she has created several works by her colleagues in the Canadian new music scene, including works by Keiko Devaux, Geneviève Ackerman, Olivier St-Pierre, Véronique Noël, Hans Martin, Mike Maevsky and many others.  Also active on the experimental pop scene, Audréanne performs with various groups, notably Crushhh. She also collaborates with electronic music artists such as YlangYlang, Jessica Moss and Kid Koala.
