The “Music Audience Development Project” (DPMQ) — — of the Observatoire interdisciplinaire de création et de recherche en musique (OICRM) explores the issues surrounding the development of music audiences through a combination of scientific research (sociological and musical analysis, analysis of organizational structures) and knowledge derived from partner practices. The goals of this partnership between researchers and the arts scene are to:

  1. elucidate the dynamics governing the relationship between audience and music, and
  2. to devise new audience development methods and techniques based on the concept of the aesthetic value of a work.
