"Anvouaiaje is a literary text written by Jean Dubuffet in 1949. It is also the title of a composition I imagined in 1996 for the sextet Flammèches. At that time, I was under the influence of Dubuffet's literary work. It exerted a powerful magnetism on my thinking. The text of Anvouaiaje is a tourist delirium written by in nimbesil (sic). It begins as follows: se pacrouaiab kes kejman nui ala mezon cante ifebo, and extends over twelve paragraphs. I chose a few excerpts, used the voices of my partners, and then invented an exotic music. It is a small operetta. This new version is now an octet, and for this reason, this piece has become the equivalent of an organized trip, including a meal".
