Simon Chioini is studying electroacoustic composition at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal. His work includes acousmatic music, music applied to theater and, more recently, audiovisual performance. In 2012, his piece Magnitude of Substrates was awarded the 2nd Hugh-Le Caine Prize in the SOCAN Foundation Young Composers Competition (Canada, 2012). Simon Chioini is also co-founder of Acte, a record company dedicated to emerging artists in contemporary / experimental music.
