Zuriñe F. Gerenabarrena (1965) studied music composition in Vitoria-Gasteiz with Carmelo Bernaola at the J. Guridi Conservatory, and with Franco Donatoni at the Scuola Civica in Milan. She is a versatile composer, who has worked as an orchestrator for movies and has many works ranging between orders for soloists, symphony orchestra, theater, dance, animation, electroacoustics and multidisciplinary projects. She has been invited to several international meetings. She also worked as a resident artist in Tokyo Wonder Site (Japan); VICC, Visby (Sweden); USF/Verfet, Bergen (Norway); Laboratorio LEC, Lisbon. She combines creation with the teaching of Harmony and Counterpoint(Composition speciality) at the Higher School Music of the Basque Country, MUSIKENE.
