Prior to moving to Norway in 2010, the American-born composer Tyler Futrell studied primarily with Lee Hyla at the New England Conservatory, Bent Sørensen at the Royal Danish Academy, and Michael Jarrell at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Thus far, his musical activities have found their loci in Scandinavia, the Iberian Peninsula and France, and the east coast of the United States of America, being featured in La Republique and The Boston Globe.
