New Musical and Sonic Practices
Québec Musiques Parallèles (QMP) is an initiative by Quatuor Bozzini (Montreal) and Tour de Bras (Rimouski), along with their collaborator E27 Musiques Nouvelles (Quebec). It is an act of solidarity that brings together artists, producers, venues, and presenters working on parallel paths. QMP revolves around a common desire: to decentralize, connect regions with major urban centers in Quebec, and offer an off-center space for musical experimentation and collaboration. Through a unique and forward-thinking program, the gathered proposals introduce new musical and sonic practices and showcase creative music from Quebec in all regions of the province.
QMP is the convergence of genres, the breaking of niches for a vibrant audience! At the heart of this ambitious project lies the intention to stimulate curiosity. If February is the month to abstain from alcohol and November is when we grow mustaches, then in October, let's lend an ear to singularity!
