Mireille Gagné
Mireille Gagné, after her Licence in Law from University of Montréal, worked at CIDA (Canadian International Agency Development Agency) in the Francophone Africa section, in Ottawa. Back in Montréal, she pursued her musical training and got a Master degree in musicology, specialized in Canadian contemporary music. She is the Director of the Quebec Region office of the Canadian Music Centre since 1981. To develop awareness about musical creation, she produced different musical events, exhibitions, concerts, musical animations, presented very often in collaboration with other organizations. She is also a volunteer on boards of some music organisms. Furthermore, she is the President of the International Network for Cultural Diversity. One of the co-founder of that organization, she is participating to many international conferences on that very important matter that should be a tool for the future of peace and mutual understanding among peoples.
