Francis Perron
Francis Perron pursued in-depth studies at several renowned institutions, including the Université de Montréal (doctorate in performance) and Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien (University of Music and Performing arts Vienna), where he undertook post-doctoral studies in lied and vocal accompaniment. He acquired vast experience as a chamber-music pianist, accompanist and vocal coach, resulting in close collaborations with organizations such the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, the Orchestre symphonique de Québec, the Wien Kammeroper, the conservatories of Vienna and Winterthur, Zurich, ARD Musik Wettbewerb, the Salzburg Summer Academy, Fribourg University, Concours International de violon d’Avignon, the International Fritz Kreisler Competition in Vienna, the Festival de Royaumont, the voice edition of the Montréal International Musical Competition, the Canadian Vocal arts Institute and the Centre d’art Orford. Francis Perron has worked with several internationally renowned artists including Idilko Raimondi and Nathalie Paulin. He has several recordings to his credit, and we have been honored to hear him time and again on Radio-Canada, the CBC and Radio-France Internationale. He has given recitals in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark and France. At present he is adjunct professor in the Faculty of Music at the Université de Montréal and professor-accompanist at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec à Montréal.
