Antoine Mailloux
Antoine Mailloux first started learning the trumpet at age eleven at the Escale secondary school in Asbestos, Quebec.
Motivated by his interest in music, he first spent summers practicing and touring with the local drum and bugle corps Les Stentors, as a mellophone player. After obtaining a diploma in Classical Trumpet Performance at the Cégep de Saint-Laurent with Frédéric Gagnon, Antoine auditioned for admittance to the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, aiming to study there with the renowned Shawinigan-based trumpeter Benjamin Raymond.Since the beginning of his studies with Mr. Raymond, Antoine had the opportunity to seek further mentorship from some of the great trumpet players of our time, such as Giuliano Sommerhalder, Pacho Flores, Omar Tomasoni, Tine Thing Helseth, Stéphane Beaulac, Hakan Hardenberger, and Romain Leleu. He aspires to complete his final conservatory examinations by 2022.
