A graduate of the Université de Montréal, where he studied under Vladimir Landsman, Alain Giguère began his musical training with Jean Cousineau at the École des Petits Violons. He is both a founding and a current member of a number of ensmbles in the Montréal region: the Orchestre Métropolitain du grand Montréal, the Orchestre Symphonique de Longueuil, the Orchestre Symphonique de Laval and the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne (NEM), with which he performs regularly as a soloist. He was also invited to perform Philippe Leroux’s d’Aller at the Festival de Montpellier with the Orchestre Symphonique de Radio-France, under the direction of Pierre-André Valade.
