Le hasard, a concert in which three different territories are explored by Joker’s daring vocalists.

This concert, presented by the cheeky Joker vocal ensemble, brings together the imaginations of Jean Derome, Élizabeth Lima, and Joane Hétu.

Derome's piece celebrates Mallarmé's famous poem Un Coup de dés jamais n'abolira le hasard. With the participation of actor Marc Béland, Derome never ceases to pose riddles to his performers. As for Lima, she contributes a composition that, like a Rubik's cube, unfolds along several axes that each vocalist colours with their own emotions, while allowing themselves to be influenced by those of others. And finally Hétu, the indomitable director of Joker, presents a linguistic and musical journey that gives rise to an exuberant odyssey of sounds, onomatopoeia, and zany dialogue.

Le hasard unfurls a most inspiring array of sounds. A program sung and gurgled by a strong, experienced choir whose different sound really rings true!
