Pierrette Gingras

General Manager (since August 2010) and cofounder of Le Vivier

Worked as general manager at Société de musique contemporaine du Québec from 2002 to 2010, where she organized two major biennials: the international festival Montréal/Nouvelles Musiques and the Hommage Series (the last edition included 60 concerts and 140 other activities). She also developed major partnerships at the Québécois, Canadian and international scale with leaders from the music, education and media communities, in close collaboration with SMCQ’s artistic director Walter Boudreau.

Pierrette Gingras has directed the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne together with Lorraine Vaillancourt from 1989 to 1999. She went on missions to over one hundred specialized festivals and promoters throughout the world. She sits on the board of directors of La Vitrine, the dissemination committee of the Conseil québécois de la musique (CQM), and the dissemination and music committees of the Conseil des arts de Montréal (CAM). Pierrette Gingras holds a M.A. in singing from the Université de Montréal.
